The most common website mistake is text that’s too hard to read. Do we have to squint to read tiny text? Is your text too fancy? Can we click your links?
Reader Friendly Website Tips
Font Size: 15 pixel minimum for body text on all pages.
Font Style: Use smooth Sans Serif fonts like Arial, Verdana, or Open Sans for body text. Save the fancy fonts for titles only.
High Contrast: Dark text on light or light text on dark – make sure there’s good contrast either way.
Big Buttons: Make links big and easy to click on, especially for our fingers and thumbs on mobile.
Being able to read your text makes for a better user experience!
