Marcie Wolf grew up in a very musical family in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Marcie's mother George Ann Wolf was an elementary music school teacher plus she had a show on PBS called "Music with Mrs. Wolf" in the early 1960's. Marcie's father Steve Wolf was the high school band director for 27 years and was a talented trumpet player in his own right. Siblings Stephanie, Max and Suzanne went on to teach in one capacity or another.
While in high school, Marcie participated in marching band, concert band, choir and theater. Marcie attended Central Michigan University as a music major and was a member of the Marching Chips and the CMU Concert Choir. Marcie spent one year touring the US and Canada with the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps as a member of the color guard working mainly with various flags while doing a great deal of dance on the field. Phantom Regiment was 4th in the world that year at DCI in Montreal.
